Sport Invest Panagyurishte & Arena Asarel Sports Hall

Sport Invest – Panagyurishte OOD is the company implementing the public-private partnership for the construction of the Arena Asarel sports hall, with the participation of Asarel-Medet JSC, the Municipality of Panagyurishte, and Business Sustainable Development 06. The company is managed by Ivan Netov.

The sports hall was officially inaugurated on 20 August 2015 and has since hosted hundreds of national and international tournaments, training camps, competitions, and cultural events.

Asarel-Medet JSC invested over 15 million BGN in the construction of the modern sports facility, which is suitable for more than 25 types of sports, features two halls, and offers seating for over 2,000 spectators. In 2025, a project to improve the acoustics was also completed, creating excellent conditions for concerts and other events.

Every Saturday during the summer, residents and visitors of Panagyurishte enjoy a unique attraction next to the hall – one of the tallest singing and dancing fountain installations in Bulgaria, featuring water-wall projections and three musical programs. The square in front of Arena Asarel bears the name of Prof. Lyubomir Tsotsorkov, the initiator of the construction of Panagyurishte’s House of Sports.
