Our hard work, results and vision for sustainable development stands behind each of the dozens of national and international awards of Asarel-Medet JSC. The company's history is rich in shared moments in which we receive recognition for our achievements and new inspiration for the future.
We celebrated our 60th company anniversary in 2025, and our sponsorship program Support for the Homeland was awarded twice: for positive social impact by the Bulgarian Network of the UN Global Compact and by the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy - for socially responsible strategic management. In 2024, we celebrated our second national award Innovative Enterprise of the Year for innovation management, with which we built on our first award from 2017 for environmental innovation.
After the Chairperson of the Supervisory Board, Dimitar Tsotsorkov, became the first Bulgarian and the first manager of a mining company in the world with the SDG Pioneer Award of the UN Global Compact in 2022, he dedicated the award to the entire team and highlighted the digital transformation of the operations. Recognition for continuity, leadership and sustainable development are the awards Mr. Economy for 2022 to Dimitar Tsotsorkov and Manager of the Year, awarded in 2009 to Prof. Dr. Lachezar Tsotsorkov.
We are proud of our three Investor of the Year awards, received in 2007, 2011 and 2016 from the Bulgarian Investment Agency. The four prizes from the National Association of Municipalities in Republic of Bulgaria, received in 2002, 2005, 2012 and 2021, emphasize our charitable contribution to the development of the region. Of special importance to our entire team is the collective Honorary Badge for Merit to the Municipality of Panagyurishte, which we were awarded by the Municipal Council in 2005.
We are grateful to the Bulgarian Chamber of Mining and Geology for the industry awards for high production results and the dozens of awards awarded after 2009 for care for nature, occupational health and safety, corporate social responsibility and innovation.
The pulse of our sustainable development is reflected in the numerous awards for contribution to the development of the Bulgarian economy from the Bulgarian Industrial Chamber, the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria, the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Association of Entrepreneurs - Panagyurishte and many media rankings over the past three decades.
Our awards as an employer reflect our social cooperation and our policy for the development of human capital. New opportunities and changed human destinies are symbolized by the award from the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria, which distinguished our scholarship program which is an example of humanity and inclusive company culture. The honorary awards of our volunteers remind us that a company is as big as the hearts of its people.
