Asarel Art Club
Our corporate Asarel Art Club is an informal group bringing together various creative individuals from the company alongside art enthusiasts. Established in early 2011, the initiative was born based on the vision of the late Tomi Naplatanov, who was a long-time journalist, artist and Communications Department specialis, and received support and funding from the company.
Together with poet Darina Decheva who Is an associate to the company’s trade union organization (affiliated with the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria) and author of the poetry collections *Born Every Ten Years*, *You Wander in My Dreams*, *A House of Reeds*, and *Mercy* and the notable artist Stayo Garnoev from Panagyurishte (a long-time company employee), the trio has developed a range of inspiring initiatives.
Notable highlights include visits by prominent artists to Panagyurishte and their meetings with local students as part of the Class to Class series, supported by Asarel-Medet. Other moving projects through which Darina continues this artistic mission and touches people's hearts include the installation of "book houses" in all settlements across the municipality and the delivery of surprise messages of inspiration to hospital patients.
